New France

A vast colonial territory in North America, primarily under French control from the 16th to the 18th century, with significant cultural, economic, and political influence on the region that would eventually become the United States.

Colin Woodard divided America into 11 different regions, and he classified the regions based on history and geography. The eleven regions were: Yankeedom, New Netherland, The Midlands, Tidewater, Greater Appalachia, Deep South, El Norte, Left Coast, Far West, and New France.  This webpage will present four different events that the region of New France experienced.
